Hi:
We're new to PC and this is our first time to post in the PTSD forum. We have a number of psych diagnosis but atm ... the C/C PTSD and Maj. Depressive Disorder are the ones that are giving me the most problems. Because of a multitude of life stressors that have popped up as of late we seem to have to regressed in a number of areas and now find myself really struggling with frequ. flashbacks, nightmares and very deep depression. Things just seem to be out of control ... which really frustrates me on top of everything else because we had been doing pretty good and making some progress. To find oneself regressing because of situations that are just way beyond our control ... well, frustrating just isn't enough of a word to really express it. I'm trying hard to get things stabilized and calm again, but, it's been a realy struggle getting a handle on it all. We're looking forward to getting to know the other members here ... sharing information, support and encouragement. **** Oh ... you'll have to bear with me ... I also have DID/Polyfragmented, and tend to confuse pronouns ... so, if you see "We" ... it's really "I" or "Me" ... old habits die hard and do tend to creep back up under times of increased stress ... *** Take care all, hoping everyone is safe and well this evening: Kefrin

Hello Kefron, and alll,
I have PTSD too. I'm working with a psychologist who uses EMDR. My career background is counseling and social work. I'm taking time off from work to do my own self-healing. It's been difficult in so many ways. As I get to know you all I bit more, I'll share more of my story. |
