i keep reading all of the posts on this subject, and some people are filled with despair and others with pride.

this isn't a competition. we shouldn't be trying to "one-up" one another. this also isn't a diagnostic tool. just because you test high in borderline doesn't mean you should slap that label on yourself. the only people who can diagnose you with anything are those with the knowledge and the degree. we can't diagnose ourselves because we cannot be truly objective.

so like i said, don't be upset if your score is high. just take the information you see and use it the best you can. make of it what you want, but stay positive! i doubt it was created to be a tool to bring on even more pain.

we are all going to be okay and we should all be supportive of one another! so lets be supportive and not judge.

im sorry if this comes off as rude, but i saw a ton of rude responses and it made my heart really sad. i just have adored everyone i met here, and i want to encourage hope and love and not sadness and pessimism.

Hehe, I never take results that seriously, we are too multifaceted for that. I have had completly contradictory results from some and just take those with a pinch of salt. The only way you can assess yourself is from observing yourself or from another actual human being.

Yah I believe there is no reason for people to be so uptight on the outcome of their score. I mean I got a 152 and granted the places that were higher are the places where I struggle in life but I don't believe to that extent. I don't find myself to be crazy but people who just immediatly take ths test without reading the background take this as a diagnoses and that will lead to alot of stress and deepen anything you are going through. I have had people say certain things about me that just freaked me out. This test if true isn't for the weak of heart.

The purpose behind the sanity test is to help you identify the areas in your life you need to work on to bring peace and balance back into your life. It says that it's not to be used to dx yourself right in the disclaimer.

For me the Sanity Score is a great way of keeping myself in check. With Major Depression, it seems like on any somewhat normal day at the moment, my score is around 110-115. When I took the test during an emotional crisis (bad depressive 'episode'), my score was 132 or something along those lines. The overall score is different for everyone depending on your individual issues and illness, so there is really no way to even attempt to compare the scores between anything other than yourself on different days.
