My sanity score is 107 but I have no idea if this means I am more or less sane compared to the general population. Can anyone help me?

So then I'm more sane than average.

Since I feel like crap all the time, that blows....

Not necessarily, jimrat It's self-reported and how you are feeling on any given day can influence what score you get on this fun but not-terribly-useful test. There's a lot of "default" stuff (I'm obese so I always test positive for a problem with health and my childhood was difficult in ways I cannot do anything about so I get points off there, never mind that I have been in therapy a zillion years and "resolved" most of them). Depending on my interpretation, because I work online, I can appear to have "technology" issues :-) etc.

My scores from 2008 to 2012:

91, 89, 98, 90, 44, 59, 64,71.

Why am I even in psych care?

The scores don't equate to anything in particular; 99% of your score could be in one area, for example (I'm anxious but I'm not depressed) and you'd still want to address the higher score? Too, if you are taking any medicines, that maybe says they may be helping?

Think maybe this test only tests for normally abnormal things, so if you're abnormally abnormal, it misses it altogether.

I think it can point to them both but how one interprets the questions have a lot to say about it; what I think is abnormal might be such that the question looks "normal" to me so I answer positively. "Do you worry about being taken over by alien flying rabbits" becomes, "No, because I already have been"

I give up. I put the max or almost max value at several troublesome areas (trying to "feel more sorry for myself"). Also I lied and said I had issues less than 6 months instead of more. I mean... should be quite alarming when you set serious stuff to max values but.... still only reached up to 95.... Also noticed the test only thinks you have bad physical issues if they are new. If you have something serious that you had longer than 6 months, the test assumes you no longer have problems with it........ Yeh right... how chronic illness works... just get funner with time!!!

The tests are very silly. The Sanity Score one asks if your hands shake! Well . . . of course mine do! It's called tarditive dyskinesia, and it's a known (sometimes permanent, as in my case) side-effect of - you guessed it - psych drugs.

And you could very realistically have somebody trying to harm you; that's not a sign of mental illness. What if you're in an abusive relationship when you take that test?

"I avoid situations where I might encounter a specific common object or situation." Yes. I avoid places where alcohol is consumed because I don't enjoy it and don't like drunks. Doesn't mean I'm unwell!!

Also, I don't believe there is any person one the planet who can truly answer that they have never "thought about ending [their] life". Surely everyone speculates even a little bit?!

Sorry, I love debunking the tests. They remind me of those little diversion ones they had on The Spark.com years back -- like "Which Disney Princess are you?" or whatever. They shouldn't be taken seriously!
