I am recently divorced. My ex-wife is currently in therapy and insists that I should be in therapy also. She has some fairly specific things to say about why: mostly communication issues and how I respond to being in emotional pain.

So, I've taken every online test under the sun, including The Sanity Score. I had a score of 42, with no unusually high sub-scores. No other test I took showed anything other than a slight tendency to depression and anxiety.

My family and friends says that they think I am just fine. My first wife says she thinks I am fine. They all believe I was in an abusive relationship and are thrilled that I am 7000 miles away from her.

I feel I am recovering reasonably well, and don't think there is much validity in what she says. I think there is one reason that I might need a therapist, but it is unrelated to what she said. I'll post about it on a different thread.

I know I haven't said much and it's really hard to judge based on what I have said, but should I pay any attention to what my ex-wife says? It would mean spending money that I simply don't have.

If you feel that you need a therapist, then go get one. There is no use being in pain if you feel that there is something - like therapy - that could help. Mind you, the sanity score is just a number. It is not perfect. There is a lot about life that the Sanity Score does not take into account.
No test can capture every facet of life.
Hope this helps and hope you are well!

If you think there is something you need therapy for (the thing that goes unmentioned here), then seek it out. It may also help you get past the events happening in your life right now. On the other hand, if you feel fine and have friends who can *objectively* say you seem fine, don't let your ex-wife's opinion push you into something you aren't ready for or don't feel a need for.
