Most people take pain relievers to relieve the pain... Do you mean the headache increased after taking it, or it started after you took it? Why would you take a pain reliever if your head wasn't hurting to begin with? I've heard a lot of medications can cause the adverse effect if taken and not needing it, so that may be your answers, who knows...

There is definitely something known as "analgesic rebound headaches". The use of anagesics (aspirin, aleve, etc.) if taken too often can perpetuate headaches. The neurlogists tell patients not to take them more than 2-3 times a week. Don't know if this is what caused YOUR headache.

Umm... Yes. Perhaps this might be a good time to talk to someone about why you are taking so many overdoses.

Oh there are other options, not a case of meds not working for you or no meds at all, no need to suffer in silence.
I deal with migraines and also chronic pain with fibromyalgia. Recently my migraine meds pretty much stopped working for me, finally got myself into doc, found out that I might be having rebound headaches, she has me now on another med, a preventative one, that happens to be working great. Trial and error and trial again til success is the way to go I think. Talk with a health care person about your experiences, they can come up with something else to try, it's worth it. Also, with any unusual symptoms, like sudden headache, dizziness etc. after taking meds, wise to call your health care person. Sarah

That's okay, it was a dependancy, all better now. It wasn't even a prescription drug or anything, just me being stupid..nevermind..
