Could not sleep last night - never can. Have tried ambien and restoril - made it worse - literally stayed up all night (why do the instructions say to lie down when you take it - what a joke). my doc gave me prozac to try (the pms kind - sarafan) - also kept me up all night. Finally got some xanax and it helps a little, but now I need to take more. This week I have combined 1 mg xanax and advil and darvocet and I think I slept for about 4 hours straight! But, very bad dreams - tuesday I dreamt my therapist told me I had to go a hospital for a while. But last night the demons were let loose - literally. Dreamt of hell and demons and woke up drenched. I forgot the dream and got up to go to the bathroom but remembered it on my way back and was very scared. Heart beating loud. Took some more xanax to get some more sleep. Now I am thinking - maybe it was the combination of what I took. Could this be.
Door is closed. Do not disturb sign posted. Someone is knocking. I am ignoring it. They enter anyway. Do people not understand the concept? |

There are so many explanations to dreams and medicines is one explanation. I had vivid wild dreams on Effexor. I've also had nitemares from the illness I have and when the symptom is triggered by something that happened that day. I'm having trouble sleeping lately because I'm worried about my living circumstances. Sometimes too much caffiene can do it for me, too. Hope this helps some. I tried any way.

My dr. put me one Imovane (Zoipiclone) it is a hypnotic agent. Works well for me. I have also had some success with Nozinan(methotrimeprazine) not a benzodiazapine, none habit forming. A natural remidiy that is available from your dr. is tryptophan, it is the amino acid that is found in turkey that makes you sleepy.
Good luck, Adam |
