i have severe anxiety, ocd, depression and sometime mania.. been on all ssri's some sends me into a panick dont work at all... except zoloft (lustral in the uk) i was given 50mg to start of with but i snapped it to 25mg and it worked wonders for my problems, but the day after i started it (took it at night) i started to get a fast hrt rate 112 beats per min or rest, this continued for the time i was on it for about a mnth, didnt worry me i was mellow etc... went to doctor for regular check up and he said its fine but took me of it.... he then gave me a trylic which slowed me right down, i hates them, then reboxetine which is a snri which made me to manic, i want the zoloft back... if i know of anyone esle that has experienced this as a side effect i will start it again..

I was on Zoloft years ago, I didn't have that happen, I was only on this. Are you on any other meds along with this one? Is it possible there may some interaction happening? Wish I could offer you some advice on this, but just know we are here for you

Not sure if it is the meds. When I have a severe bout of depression I think that anxiety kicks in and I get a VERY fast and irregular heart beat. Pretty scarey at times. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I am severely out of shape and I smoke. I have started a regimen where I am exercising and quitting smoking and seeing what that does.
