Hello chichi,

Panic attack symptoms can range from sudden extreme fear, dry mouth, difficulty breathing, dizzyness, palpitations etc.

Sounds like you were triggered by something you saw on the TV. Can you recall what you were watching?

I have experienced similiar thing. Mine is in my throat but it feels like it will swell shut. I get anxious when I feel it, which only increases the feeling of "can't breath". Then comes the thoughts of me not being able to breath....and that is very scary to me. I have been doing self talk and it helps some. I tell myself it is part of anxiety...its a feeling...I am not hurt...I can breath.....I just keep repeating that kind of stuff. If I get feeling really bad I will take a xanax and soon the feeling is gone. It's very uncomfortable though when it happens.
I hope you are feeling better today!

hi thanks it helps when someone tells you they had a similiar experience...I just need to hear it and I have to remember my self talk but this never happened before. I am so glad for this forum it has given me so much support I don't feel so alone on this.
I don't recall anything particular that I was watching but it is also that time of month for my cycle to start any time soon...I hate this I also just found out my dad has Alziemers so that as well probably triggered my anxiety...oh great now I have a chance really losing my mind is Alziemers hereditary?
