There's no yawning icon for this thread, but there should be -- it's not quite noon and I'm ready for the first nap of the day...
I'm taking 60mg Cymbalta and 300mg Wellbutrin XL, and while they're working well against my depression -- and my anxiety is a bit better, too -- I'm left ready to sleep most of my life away. If I don't lie down when the sleepiness hits, I'll be so tired that I'll literally sway on my feet. I don't actually have to sleep to get relief, just lie down quietly for a couple of hours. Of course, lying down quietly does often lead to sleep, but you know what I mean, right? Can anyone suggest anything? Dx is Anorexia Nervosa, Major Depression, and Anxiety Disorder NOS. I've tried Provigil, but with the Wellbutrin it leads to too much agitation and restlessness, but doesn't fight the sleepiness. Ugh. Gotta go lie down now... The cat loves this side effect, by the way...

What time of day do you take the meds. I know that I had to change the time of day I took my meds. It helped me alot.

I agree with jmo... changing the time of day/night you take a med needs to be adjusted to YOUR schedule... and it can make all the difference!

Mmmm Nope. I've tried that. If I take them later in the day, I can't sleep, so I take them with breakfast. Then I get the tiredness during the day, but sleep fine at night.
Grrr! I just want to be able to live normally! Is that really too much to ask?

No Its not too much to ask. I am really sorry this is happening to you. Maybe discussing it with your PDoc and coming up with alternative options. I am sorry.
