.... as I am in Orlando giving depositions to 7 lawyer teams, so my brain is not firing on all cylinders (and I am using an IBM clone .... me, a Mac man).

Anyway, I do not have archives and notes with me, but I will try to answer questions that I am absolutely sure I know.

Please understand my situation, and I will try to keep up after next weekend (well, at least until we come back to Florida at the end of the month for depositions).

Oh, and bptoo, I said "bear with me", not "bare with me". Please bear with me..... - Cam

What is the meaning of life?

Cam, I am now on Effexor now, 3 times a day.

I always know when I need the next dose, I start to shake and my nerves get really on edge. It's been about a month now. Is this normal?

Should it be increased in dosage? Each one is 37.5, 3x a day. Are these side effects? I'm taking Neurontin with them as well for my leg, 3x a day.

Thanks.

Mary Alice

PTE - I am really not a big fan of the regular Effexor™ (venlafaxine). The half-life is much too short and invariably you end up seeing all of the side effects that you seem to be experiencing.

The edginess and shaking are two initial side effects (ie. start-up side effects) that usually do decrease within the first month, but it is almost as if you are metabolizing the drug really fast and are going through mini-withdrawls. I would ask your doc why you are taking the regular Effexor rather than the once-a-day extended-release (Effexor XR™) version. There could be reasons to stay on the regular, but like I say, the regular Effexor is so finicky that I avoid it unless absolutely necessary. Maybe I'm lazy, though .... Please bear with me.....

I hope that this is of some help. - Cam

Thanks Cam for the input. I guess he's sticking with this as is. I can definitely think more clearly and my memory is better than it was on Prozac.

I just hope these side effects go away - it is very frustrating.
