Last night I my medication Seroquel 200mg and after half an hour I was really sleepy and this morning when I woke I felt like I was still asleep my mind was dead and I couldn't think of any of the usual things aI think about, usually my mind wanders about all the facts of life and my just wanders about all the strange and wierd stuff, in other words my imagination was gone I was groggy and felt like I had this blanket of fog covering my mind, so again I ask is it normal?

Psyclox, I take Seroquel also. Sometimes I wake up feeling the same way. Sometimes it wears off.... but other times it lasts all day. I guess its just a side effect.

Did you get enough sleep? When my husband took Seroquel if he didn't get at least 10 hours of sleep it was difficult for him to wake up and to get functioning. Make sure you get plenty of rest.

Psyclox,

What you are describing is exactly what it does for me. I am on 200/300 mg at night & only as needed during the day.

It is keeping the nightmares away & I was waking up in a state that was defined to me as depersonalization.....which it also stops......I no longer have my mind wandering into those strange states. I do feel dizzy at times but only when I am having some health problems with dehydration.

You are not abnormal......in my case the feelings you describe are actually helping me out of the place I was in rather than just being strange.

I am sure you can get more answers form others around here

Debbie
