I would just like to say I HATE ZYPREXA.

I was forced to take this toxic junk in the psych ward. When I came off it cold turkey, I had all kinds of problems. I went back on it to taper more prudently, but the problems didn't go away. One of these problems is emotional blunting. I cannot feel anything. I feel dead inside.

Has anybody experienced this with zyprexa, and does it get better?

Isn't it funny how the same med can work so differently in people. I loved zyprexa, just hated the weight gain . With my psychotic depression it helped make my thinking clearer, although in the beginning that just my suicide plan clearer too.

After the med began really working my mood lifted but it didn't blunt my emotions ,unlike prozac.....funny uh.

Unfortunately, as I usually do, I began to think that I could do it without meds. So after thinking of the 20 lbs I put on and the fact that I "felt" better, I did the WRONG thing and stopped the med.

I was okay for......say........a few months...but bottom line.......I needed it......

I am so glad there are sooooo many meds out there now........enough to help everybody...........

I hope you find the med or meds that work for you......take care! And don't give up finding the med or meds that work for you. Good luck
