I have Bipolar II, and also OCD and GAD.
I'm on 50mg of Lamictal for the BP, and I went to my pdoc today, and he's keeping the Lamictal where it's at and adding 20mg of Lexapro (10mg for the first week then up to 20mg). I've had bad reactions to SSRIs in the past (and yes, my pdoc knows that, and what they were etc)...of course, I wasn't on a mood stabilizer then...but it seems that with such a low dose of a mood stabilizer, and a higher dose of an SSRI it would be a bad combination for me. Does this combo sound right to you? |

I didn't do well with any of the SSRI's, but of all of them Lexapro was the one with the least side effects for me.
I am on 100mg Lamictal for depression, I really like it. Pdoc is still looking for a solution to my GAD, right now I am trying Buspar. No noticable change yet but I am on a pretty low dose. Maggy Jo |

I haven't done well with SSRIs either...so it seems like it could be a quite bad idea to have me on one with an extremely low dose of a mood stabilizer...

I haven't even started the Lexapro yet, and I think I should increase the Lamictal...quite honestly, I just don't feel stable yet. I'm more calm and not quite as all over the place as I was...but I'm still not feeling right...
