Today my p-doc changed my meds from klonopin to xanax. I thought they were both pretty close to the same thing. Anyone know the differences between them? I'm just wondering why he changed it around.

Klonopin is a longer acting benzo. Xanax has a shorter life..however it works well with breakthrough panic attacks. Hope this was concise enough for you.

GeminMD,
You wrote,[....anyone know the difference between them... (K and X).?..]. I have an extensive data base of updated research concerning Klonopin, aka clonazepam, and Xanax that may be unbeknowing to many. There is a great difference between the two as recent research shows. If you would like this infomation, you could PM me or let me know here on the forum at large as to what {differences} could be of concern to you. Lou |
