Hiya Lydia,

It does increase dopamine, but in a different part of the brain to where schizophrenia occurs, so it won't cause or instigate a schizophrenic reaction.

Anyhow, check out www.northwestpharmacy.com I got my abilify from them for about $40 a month when I had no insurance. The only kicker is you have to buy it in three month quantities. It really helped me when i was without insurance.
