Dear John, welcome to PC and to our little lifeboat!! I am DXed with bipolarbearianII and am on four meds. I have no insurance...so, I know how you're feeling.

Can you find a support group? I've tried to go to one, but invariably I have to close, where I work, on the night they meet.

Any close friend that you can talk to? A minister? Family? Can you find a county/state clinic in your area? I get my meds at a clinic. I also see a Pdoc there.

There are hundreds of people here who are in your same shoes. Please keep posting and we'll do all we can to help you. PM me if you need to. We also have a therapist online, here, that you can ask questions.

I'm so sorry that you're having so much pain right now. It is very hard to "get out" when you are severely depressed. We understand.

Elli Lilly and some other pharm companies have programs to give out meds for free. You should contact them and ask. Some psychiatrists know about the programs too.

Actually, some of those doses seem low...i take 1800 lithium carbonate...

Go to nami.org...find a chapter near you (they've got more than 1100 nationwide). They have support groups for all the different diagnoses, and can help you with medications, finding the help you need. I am at the very end of my rope financially, they have helped me with meds. Also, try needymeds.org (I think) They have links to med programs to make sure you get what you need.

Good luck, I know how scary it is...I have to find a place to live with no income!!!
