I was started on Abilify 2 weeks ago for bipolar. It's been a miracle drug for me. I feel so much better.

The only problem? I'm hungry all the time and my scale has stopped moving. Before starting this I had lost 85 pounds and my scale was still moving.

Now everything has stopped. I'm still staying within my daily calorie budget but I'm starving and not seeing the scale move is worrying me.

Advice???

No advice, I just started on abilify, too, and I am afraid of the weight gain possibility. My scale has stopped moving down, too, in spite of the fact that I am exercising at least 3/times a week an hour each time.

I was on Abilify just a short time. It was a miracle drug for me. I felt so happy and "normal" for once. it was causing my ankles to swell and she thought my blood sugar was too high so she took me off it. I remember her saying that it did cause hunger when I went on it...

I have experienced weight gain, but the results are worth it. My dr. said that it interferes with metabolism, and that is one of the main causes of the gain.

Well after being on it almost 3 weeks now I've decided that I don't care if I gain a few pounds and have to exercise more, I'm LOVING IT! IT's like a miracle drug for me. I've never felt this good before!
Thanks for this!
