That is why I had to quit taking it. The rash got really bad. Listen to your doc before it gets worse if that is what it is.

I've been on it for about 3 or 4 months...no rash but I felt itchy for awhile but that went away.

As long as your Dr. is on top of it you should be ok. Pdoc thinks possible rash from lamictal....I am freaking

So...I have the frigging rash. Doctor confirmed it.
I am so angry. This med seemed to be working. Now I can no longer take it and have to apply a steroid creme to my face for a week.
My life sucks...I want OUT!

Even though the rash was confirmed, that doesn't mean the med can't work for you. There are cases where the rash was mild, and after backing down on the dose, the patient was later able to more slowly increase the dose, without triggering the rash. It's like there's a threshold about how bad the rash has to be before it becomes totally contraindicated to continue with the drug. If the rash was mild, and your doctor is attentive, you may be able to have a second chance.

I took Benadryl for awhile. Mine spread so fast I watched it go up my arm.........it was horrible. At least you caught yours before it got too bad. Just use the cream and you'll be fine.

Take care.

Ok, went in to a dermatologist tonight.
I am okay. I have some cream.
Not too serious.
Lamictal has been halted for the time being though.

I have had a few reactions like you are having to some medicine I took in the past, one of them was very severe, but even it went away in about 2-3 weeks... now I just place that particular medicine on my DO NOT take list - EVER!!
