has anyone taken this im jsut starting to take it for when i get into panic attacks any advise

Vistaril is actually an antihistamine, but it gets used for a variety of reasons. I was given it to counteract stomach issues that were a side effect of another med. I have heard it sometimes gets used for anxiety; it does have a fairly strong sedative effect.

If being tired can make you feel calm, it can help. If you can feel anxious while feeling soo tired, it's a crap med.
And that is of course just my personal opinion. |

25mg is a small dose. Ask your pdoc, but mine told me I could take 1-4 25mg pills at a time up to 200mg total per day.
I found it fairly helpful, but it isn't really the strongest med I've taken. Good luck! EJ |

I took it before I didnt get any help from it.

I take it for allergies sometimes. It does not have a sedative effect on me at all.

I took 150-200 mg. At lower dosage I had no sedation.
