Just wondering. Started Prozac 30 days ago, seems to be settling me down but now I am always hungry. I feel like I want to eat all the time. Is it just me or does Prozac enter into it? Thanks

I know a number of these drugs can affect hunger and even cause weight gain. Alas, Prozac is one of them.

I gained 30 pounds in one month taking Prozac because I craved carbs all the time..I worked night shift at the nursing home and snacked most of the night..! I was originally put on Prozac for gall bladder colic and it worked well, but I had to come off of it because of the weight gain that continued while taking it...I'm in no way suggesting you do that, just trying to help with your question. Good Luck..

I gained a lot of weight on Pristiq and got off of it about a yr and a half ago - started Prozac, then Lexapro - and weight just keeps on steadily going up. GRRR... When I was on Wellbutrin alone I was 117 lbs.... now I'm at 150. Really thinking of seeing if I can go back to WB and get off Lexapro. Don't know if that will even help.
