Someone, one or two posts after you, said it's not so much about invalidation, it's about the approach to the discussion. Good point, word was not the better choice. [invalidation] that is.

I said[to this person], 'thanks for your concern', as in, I'll make my choice based upon my own medical history, but thanks for being concerned enough to point out that some meds do carry a risk for side effects.
Natural supplements, also carry an fda warning label too. Boils down to lifestyle choices and if something isn't broke, no need to fix it. We each need to make choices in our lives.
