I know what I am taking, but um, have to double check the generic name, all the time. I'm human, I know what the meds do, I know what they are needed for, but to ask me, to memorize things, that slip my 'lil lesioned filled brain....

I mean, I know some people can't spell, can't memorize the exact spelling of some complicated chemical name, or even wish to google for the correct spelling. However, I see some people spell the names in such a way that it seems to indicate that they do not pronounce it correctly either, and I am talking about missing or out of place syllables, or changed consonants.

I just think it's important to look things up! It bothers me that people blindly take medication, assuming that they are perfect, without understanding their mechanisms.

Your thoughts?

(This is not a jab at anyone, I do not take anyone less seriously because they misspell.)
Thanks for this!

Maybe, you and I both forgot to read the 'fine print' at the beginning of the thread?!

((in really tiny words,...this is not a jab at anyone who misspells))

But, do you know what, nobodyandnothing?!
It's so easy to come into a place like this, bringing our own personal days burdens, see something like this, and wow, personalize it!! Or even, question why we bothered reading it, in the first place!!

Just want to give you a supportive because I know what it's like to bring things to the reading table, on boards like this!!

Also, my pdoc has directed that my H give me my meds. He lets me have one day's worth at a time. There is a reason for that, too.

Nobody and nothing...you all just proved that. Please, no responses or pms.

Nobodyandnothing: I appreciated your post and everyone's post that agreed and disagreed with me. It has helped me understand that yeah, I was being a little judgemental and I did not have the right to assume. Also, as I said at the begining of the thread, I take everyone seriously regardless of their spelling and grammar. Even people who more obviously seem to lack insight into their meds or disorders, we know that they are people struggling and we are all here to learn. I have learned over and over again, most kind people aren't stupid, they always have something intelligent about them. That's why I would never turn anyone away for their ability to spell, it's a really shallow thing.
