Hi,
I'm taking effexor XR right now, and 2 days ago, my right hand started shaking really badly for about 1 hour.
Has anyone had this experience? It REALLY scared me.

I was on a very high dosage of Effexor XR for about a year. It caused me to have brain "zaps, shivvers" some shakiness of the hands, and just over all twitchy type problems that came and went. I hated Effexor though, and ended up quitting cold turkey and the withdrawal period took about a month to get over. If it gets to bad I would defiantly speak with your pdoc about it. Effexor has been starting to get a very bad rap as of late.

Good luck!

I recently started effexor for anxiety also. My hands have been shaking much. Though I'm not sure if it is the effexor or the up in dosage of Lithium.

I get tremors and blurred vision if I haven't taken the pills. I take mine every morning (150 mgs, down from 225mg, but thinking i'llhave to go up again) and if i miss it by just a few hours (taking it later than normal) or like after work if i forgot, I'll get very irritated, blurred vision, heart palpitations, shaky-ness, and distorted thinking. I mean distorted by like, my thinking patterns are off and I can't concentrate (even less than normal)
But, if i stay on track, i don't have the problems. This is the only meds i've ever been on, and i don't know if something else would help less or more. I know that detoxing off of it, is not something I am looking forward to.
