Adding Abilify to Cymbalta for Depression?

Hi-
I just saw P CRNP. I said I was still depressed. She thought I looked depressed. I stated I was still self isolating, not washing until I had an appt., not going out in public etc. She asked if I was suicidal. I said No, but would like to die....She thought maybe I should think about inpatient...I said "NO". Then she asked me if I wanted to add Abilify, 2mg. I advised her I did not want to gain weight. She thinks I should be better. I said I am a lot better as compared to zero meds, but still cannot work, engage in conversations, etc.

I am seeing a neuropsychiatrist next week. She said we will keep my meds the same, see if neuro psych has any thing to suggest, and then shee pycj RNP afterwards. She gave me samples of Cymbalta.

Any one with experience of adding 2 mg of Abilify??

Adding Abilify to your current anti-depressant should help boost your antidepressant. I was on it for long time and can't say I had any problems. I would still be using it but I can't afford without insurance.

She wanted to add 2mg. I said I did not want to gain weight. I am confused on how it works??
