Hi everyone,
In the past I have gone off and on Adderall; I go from taking it for months, and then stopping, and then trying it out again. I notice that the first time I take it, I feel a difference. But subsequent days show diminished effect, until I can't really tell if it's doing anything. I'm wondering if there is something going on with my Dopamine such that after the first day it's "tapped out," or that my body has adjusted or something. If this is the case, I'm wondering if combining Adderall with N-Acetyl Tyrosine will help. Any thoughts? Thanks, Sean |

I take Concerta and have noticed the same thing only not to such a degree that I don't notice a difference at all after taking it for a few days. I know that the Concerta really helps me focus much better and organize not only my thoughts but my speech as well.

I've been taking Adderall (both XR and regular) for about a year now. I was on Provigil for narcolepsy/ sleep apnea. However, after I had surgery for the apnea, the provigil made me manic, and then I would crash and be exhausted. I switched to Adderall after realizing I had attention problems. I used the XR during the day, some days it worked better than others, but I usually felt it regardless. The regular I would use in the afternoon to keep myself up.
I think our bodies and minds become adjusted to the adderall and it becomes less effective. I think we just get used to how it makes us feel, so it just doesn't FEEL like it is working. |
