I'm pretty sure my pdoc is going to substitute viibryd for different AD the next time I see him. I've read that stopping abruptly can lead to withdrawal symptoms. For those of you who have discontinued viibryd, at what rate did you come off it? Did you experience withdrawals?

I had no problems and was just switched to another AD without any problems.

I tapered down on my Viibryd while going up on Zoloft. I don't remember the schedule, but it was only like a week or something.

I believe I tapered down on it for less than a week while tapering up on another med...I think it was Zoloft as well.

I tapered off of Viibryd in a few days without any withdrawal problems while starting Lexapro. I would never stop an AD cold turkey though, since it can cause brain zaps. Best of luck!!
Thanks for this!

If you're tapering up on something else, you'll probably be ok, going cold turkey is probably not good.

I basically went cold turkey off viibryd and wellbutrin at the same time in june, but I am pregnant and had severe morning sickness, probably worsened by withdrawals once it started...

As it turns out, my pdoc is having me take 1/2 viibryd for one week, then stopping. Concurrently, I started 20 mg Prozac and will increase that to 40 mg after 2 weeks. So far no problems with this dual titration.
