Not really Xanax is not a regular Benzo in England , only Ativan and valium are usually given , we don't get a great selection , which in a way is a good thing, those are the only 2 I have ever taken. valium is a waste of time to my anxiety even at a staggering 100mg a day. Yet 2 MG of Ativan can still hit the spot, I take the 4mg whether or not I need them every day, prevention is the cure for me

Sorry to hear about your exhaustion. I'm on 40 mg of Prozac and don't feel any side effects.

I wonder why they do not offer Klonopin (sp?clonazapan) in England? I know it has a bad rep, especially if you read about the experience Stevie Nicks had with it. Valium I've taken for sleep. It knocks me out, but I've never really taken it during the day.

ENGLAND and the NHS favour certain meds on the price and over all reactions . LORAZAPAM is use all the time in hospitals, if someone is uptight about an operation 2mg pre med is standard. When my family were scared if my anxiety turned to seizure , the would take me to A-E HOSPITAL bang 3 mg loz injection lie down half hour and home again. They new most reacted well to this Benzo at some level of mg and it was pretty safe even at one off high dose, And VALIUM is old time favorit for long acting nerve control

Not much different than an HMO here. I had to switch meds because of one. I like them for maintenance they do but their mh formulary stinks. And believe me, I am a generics first type person all the way. Sorry but tegretol and Lamictal are not the same thing. I could be having to make the decision to go back to them soon. But now I have independent insurance to choose from (yay!)

I started with 10mg of Prozac just last night (set to increase to 20mg after a week) and I found myself sleepy soon after taking it. I don't know if it's possible for the effects to kick in that fast but I was sleepy and tired all day today too.

Have to say I was on 20mg for about a year and never had any problems. We all react differently thou.
