Cool. That let's tell em it works so they will comply flipped me out when I read it. Could you imagine treating somebody with cancer that way?

It is a bit scary to think about it, especially if it costs a lot. I can only imagine! Sometimes the piece of mind is worth the cost IMO, at least in the mental health field but you should know what you're shoveling out so much money for.

Well I knew that, but I was about to give up on it but figured it's a good baseline to follow so we went with the Viibryd.

Pdoc also mentioned brain scans that can be done to determine if you're likely to do well on a particular AD I guess they take scans of your brain then compare them to other depressives who have had success with particular medicine. Then they prescribe the medicine based on the person who has similar brain activity as you. Even in this case it's a toss up as to whether or not the med will work for you. But at least you can have some sort of science behind your choice.
I really hope Viibryd works for you. Sounds good so far. I think it will. (my two cents for the placebo effect )

I for one am glad they are applying some science no matter how crude in an actual clinical setting that we deal with. The tests may be very crude at this point and not tell them much but they will learn from it and refine it and learn a little more and change the theory once again. The theories change all the time based on new evidence and we are in the primitive stages in mental health compared to other medicine and other sciences.

Did the genomind report and my report seems eerily similar to the sample report on their website.

I under stand that these reports are personal but I would like to see if someone could share a sample genomind repoirt.. just to make sure we are not all getting the same results..

I took that test. I had been on Zoloft but it pooped out. My doctor out me on Vybrid which works better even if it makes me have insomnia. We also found out why I don't tolerate Valium so well either. I am one of those folks who has severe side effects (like falling face down on the carpet taking a nap....it knocks me out). Still it fixed my depression by taking that test.
