And you should tell them about suicidal thoughts because they are part of your symptoms. If you are in real danger check yourself into the hospital. They are not gonna force you into hospital over thoughts.

Article by director of NIMH on effectiveness of AD's. STAR D study said 65% after six months. It wasn't compared to placebo though. I have always read the real world data says 50%. A combination of meds and therapy is best approach.

Zoloft was a perfect choise , sertraline generic . was the top ssri for years , now shares top place with Lexapro , 100mg very effective on depression, 50 mg starter is just to low to achieve relief , 100mg -150mh spot on . I preferred 100mg and carried on a sex life. 150mg orgasm prob,s 200mg big sex prob,s .

Yeah the sexual side effects I have had to put up with. The price of depression. It seems odd to me they would put you on zoloft for ADHD. Are you still on a med for that? Like adderall or ritalin?

I love effexor. I'm one of those people who gets all sped up and manic from ssri's. Paxil made me hallucinate. I can't even take st. john's wort.
I have problems with very debilitating depressions and terrible anxiety, and lamictal alone just wasn't cutting it. effexor has been a life saver for me. The one thing about it is that its really best to try other medications first, the discontinuation of effexor is nasty. Sometimes if I am even a few hours late taking it I start feeling the brain shivers. It's pretty bad that way. |
