I am sorry this is so long you guys. I just need to share in detail what happened.

FYI~If you don't know yet. If you are on a controlled substance you are only aloud what the script reads with no refills. Usually they are monthly scripts(may differ in your case). My insurance won't even let fill a new script until the day the other one expires.

Today, I went to pick up my daughters medication at the Pharmacy.

Every time I pick up any medication I count them when I come home. I started counting my daughters Concerta Tablets that she takes for ADHD. She takes 72 mg. Which would be 2~36 mg Tablets. The bottle states 60 tablets with 0(zero)refills, of course this is because it is a controlled substance.

I counted them and there were 59 tablets. I called the Pharmacy right away. I have been using this Pharmacy for years and this has happened before, but with a Non Controlled substance so they just gave me another tablet at the time.

I requested to speak with the Pharmacist and when she got on the phone, it was like Night/Day with her. I explain the situation to her and requested for her to see who filled the script and if she could call me back with the information, because I new that they were busy due to them just opening for the day. She was sweet as pie. Then she said just hold a second and I will find out right now for you. So of course I held. The Pharmacist came back on the phone, being some what IRAIGHT. She started yelling at me saying "I filled the prescription. I know it was filled correctly. I have 3 people count it before I even send it out to the patient. I know for a fact that there were 60 Tablets in that bottle". I asked her if they kept a log of what Controlled Substances that were filled on that day and who checked them. She said "Yes, but I don't have to show me anything". She said "I don't need to show proof and you have no idea what your talking about and you must be lying". She said "So what did you do with that last tablet?"
I was very polite and said thankyou for your time and I WILL look further into this. Then I hung up the phone.

BBBBBBAAAAAAAMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! That was it!!!!!!!!! I blew!!!!
I was shaking. Every feeling in the world I felt was running through my body Panic Attack came on. After breathing and relaxing a bit.

I called and reported them.

Called the CPSA which is the insurance my Daughter has it is
Community Partnership for Southern Arizona. They deal with any drug related mental health issues you are having and can not get resolved. They deal with meds as well.

I called my Daughters P and he was so upset because his hands were tied and all he really could do is Follow Up with CPSA as well.

So we both reported this Pharmacy and hopefully something will get done about this and it won't fall through the cracks as a lot of health care problems do.

What this all boils down to at the end of all this is. Where is this PILL? They miscounted?

Now my Daughter(unless I am notified by CPSA and they can help)will have one pill on the last day of her script and that is not a good thing. It's basically screwing with her body and even screwing with her mind. Who's getting the pain of all this My Daughter

The P doesn't get samples of this Drug anymore. I can't even use that as a last resort.

What do I do? HELP!!!!

i wish you were here i would let you have a spare one of my sons i know we are not meant to,
my son concerta comes in little white plastic bottles they are sealed when i get them if any damage i would take them back,
i am meant to get sons script monthly but because he is on medication breaks at the weekend we end up with extra tablets, i put his script in at the same time as everyone else in the family, because there meds are 28 days and sons are 30 and up to know i havent been told of for this, i know the chemist wont fill the script if it is not filled out properly, hope you manage to get this sorted

Oh Katheryn, You are so sweet. I know. I hate the fact that they won't give me one tablet to make it a whole script (Ya know they don't believe me that it wasn't a full script to begin with). I am still waiting for CPSA to contact me back. We shall see what the out come will be I am my childs advocate as you are your son's and I will fight Tooth and Nail even if it's for one lousy pill.
