I have recently been take 2 75mg in the morning. My dose is going up to 300mg and the pdoc said I have to take one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

I heard it could keep you us and i think it may have made It longer to fall asleep, not any more though. I plan to take it around 7am and 12pm and see how that goes.

Question: When do you take yours?

You can take it all in the morning or spilt it up and take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Just see which one works better. Best of luck!
Thanks for this!

With the one I am on now the doc said to take it all in the am unless it bothered me. But with this new one I asked him and he said to take one in the morning and one in the afternoon for some reason. So he didn't really give me an option this time but I guess we'll see how things go.

I take 450 XL all in the morning. I also take Provigil in the morning. With two activating agents, I don't want to have them affect my sleep which might happen if I took them later. But I'm sensitive. I can only have one cup of coffee and it has to be early morning.

Oh yes. You must be sensitive to it. I don't drink coffee normally, but most caffeine doesn't have that effect on me.
I plan to take it early as possible. So probably 12pm.

200 mg wellbutrin? I was doing 150 in the morning but now he said 150 morning and 150 afternoon. I am alittle worried it will keep me up.

What kind of Wellbutrin is it? There are generics and different forms that have different releases. And the different forms I believe come in different strength per pill.

Well, you might find out right away. I would ask for more information from a doctor or pharmacist. I don't think giving advice that really is medical is right. From what I have read, but remember we don't know if it is all reliable, both SR and XL are sustained release forms, one earlier than the other. SR is apparently intended to be taken in split doses whereas XL in one dose. And one guide said the doses for SR should be 8 hours apart and taken at regular times. Again I would call your doctor. Or if you can't do that, call the pharmacist who will know the chemistry and be able to tell you what the dosing should be.

i take wellbutrin 300xl in the morning (about 6am)
i noticed you said you also take provigil archipelago, i was wondering if you take it for adhd? or for motivation?
i was told the wellbutrin would give a similar effect to a stimulating med, encourging motivation and energy to get tasks started and completed..
its not done anything for me though and just wondering if you take the provigil with it for augmentation?

I am not sure who this was for, I do not take provigal or that other one. However motivation would be great!!! The wellbutrin helps a little I think, better than the zoloft I used to take. However zoloft worked better for major depression. However again, since I upped the dose I feel a bit better.

Intheprocess, great that it didn't keep you up. I guess you have your answer.

elevated, I do not have adhd. I take Provigil for energy, concentration related to depression. It is a stimulant but not amphetamine so I find it makes me calm and focused, not jiggerty or anxious. I guess it could be called augmentation. And yes, I was told that Wellbutrin would have a stimulant like effect, which happened a little at first but then it was really clear that I needed something else.

It is very expensive so not affordable out of pocket and also insurance doesn't like covering it because it costs so much, even as a generic. Also technically it is only approved for sleep related issues.

But I was able to get approval for it and am glad. It is now clearly making a difference. And I think the Wellbutrin increase is also helping. I don't feel depressed now and also feel capable of doing things and sustaining that ability for long periods.

Yeah. Thankfully.
That sucks that medicine is so expensive. I have terrible anxiety but am scared to take something like zoloft to help because of weight gain. I was originally on it and I think it contributed to some weight gain.

I take mine in the morning, which could be anywhere between 7-10am.
My sleep has always sucked, so I just always assume lack of sleep is just normal me

I was originally prescribed 150mg instant release am and 150mg pm, but I found that was too much for me. On a good nite I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I usually need a sleeping aide (ambien, seroquel) to help with the sleep. All I take now is one 150mg when I wake up. If I have a really long day I take another in the pm. I like Wellbutrin a lot, but it is far from a cure! It increases my anxiety. It's great with a add on AD. It is a very mild stimulant. With the instant release you can feel the effect in about an hour. Like drinking a energy drink for me without the crash. But with the instant release it wears off in about 4-5 hours. My pdoc has been trying to push the XR on me for years but it costs more! My combo is Wellbutrin and Zoloft and klonopin prn. Covers my depression and anxiety pretty well. Seroquel for a mood stabilizer and ambien for sleep.

Hah aw well I am sorry to hear that. But at least it doesn't make things worse. Also, I thought you were suppose to take them more consistently around the same time.

Hmm. I started with some dose that was too much then we tried another dose, maybe an XL. Eventually we upped it once or twice. I think it makes me shake more than I usually do, like eating soup, holding a paper, etc. Also I noticed me anxiety maybr worse as well however I am not sure if the Wellbutrin is the cause. I am alittle worried because before we upped the dose it seemed like it stopped working. He offered maybe an AD, SSRI to help with anxiety but I am scared. Originally I started on zoloft but it may have contributed to weight gain. But it sounds like you got your mix down pretty well. Take care!!

That's good. But zoloft seemed to make things worse, sadly.
