I have been put on different kinds of APs, old and new, for anxiety, psychosis. All causing unwanted side effects. From stelazine(Causing restlessness, anxiety), seroquel(dry mouth- panic attacks), haloperiol(Same side effect as stelazine), Risperidone (Emotionless, no appetite, a bit of depression), Sulpiride (Same as Risperidone), Olanzapine (Same as Risperidone), now Thorzapine is giving me bad dry mouth which causes anxiety. And it seems like my pdoc is running out of ideas. Any suggestions?

There are things to counteract certain side effects, the restlessness could be from akathisia. Cogentin could be used to help that.
I'm on Invega Sustenna and it has worked great for me with no side effects. Good luck! __________________ “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” -St. Francis of Assisi

Are you giving them at least 6 weeks to level off? Some take even longer to settle in for me. Good luck!

6 weeks, wont that be too long. I bet i wont even last for few days though..i rmb taking the counter-side effect drug which helped the restlessness abit. The overall cost-benefit is just too much i guess.

Meds take a while to settle in your system.
Have you tried Zeldox aka ziprasidone? Its been the best AP I have been on. Very few side effects. Tried and anxious for the first little while but that passes after about 2 weeks. |

I've had good results with Invega, which comes in a pill or injection. I take the pills because I hate injections. It makes me tired, but then again, all my meds make me tired.
