So sorry ahead of time that this is probably going to end up really long, but I'm a detail kind of person.

I have been on Lamictal for about 4 months now. I have suspected it wasn't working for me because I had serious depression and Pms. I met with a new doctor today who suspected I suffer from pmdd . It makes a lot of sense to me now and I completely agreed with her (which is hard and unheard of from me sometimes lol) . I posted before about my old psychiatrist putting me on vistiril (sp?) for anxiety and how it basically just laid me on my butt and put me out for hours. Which, I can't do because I have an 8 month old. This new doctor understood my concern with that and really couldn't understand why she would put me on something like that. But regardless, she gave me a script for clonazepam. Told me to use it only when I need it which is usually leaving the house by myself . Anyways, anyone have experience with Prozac? I took Zoloft years ago and honestly can't remember how it worked. I did, however, have a pretty crappy "withdrawal" (I had to wean myself). My mother is/was on certraline (sp?) and told me that if she misses her pill she can actually feel her body suffering from it. Like, waves feelings. Just 'blah'.

My new doc told me it may or may not help with the pmdd because from what I Have read and what she told me is there really is no relief to pmdd unfortunately. She also says that people swear that it helps so we could give it a shot. I have gotten over the whole " I don't want to be on a million different meds" thing and now I'm just "please give me anything to help me" . I believe it's 10mg a day.

Hi. It is nice to meet you. I have been on all of the meds that you mentioned you are on. My problem is that I didn't take Prozac for pmdd. So I do not know if it will help with this. You might have better luck getting answers if you post in the women's focused forum. The link is below.

I hope you find what you are looking for. Best of luck.
