I'm weaning off one med (Zoloft) and starting a he med (Vybriid) and it's been a long time since I've tapered on or off an antidepressant and I've forgotten about the nasty side effects. It's been almost two weeks and I've had a constant headache. About how long before the side effects go away? I have two more weeks of getting off Zoloft and up to the proper dose of vybriid. I'm hoping I can hang in there because it's really helping my mood.

I have weaned off of an (SSRI) like Zoloft and it is really hard. I had these things called brain zaps and I felt horrible coming off of Lexapro (SSRI). I feel for you, I really do. Yeaay for your better mood!

In my experience tapering off Mirtazapine and replacing it with Venlafazine was not a pleasant experience - it took about a month.
My psychiatrist suggested that I spent some time as a voluntary patient in a psychiatric hospital so I could be monitored - I am glad that I took his advice.
