I recently have been prescribed both wellbutrin and a low level of lithium to climb out of a hell hole of depression. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with lithium being used for this purpose.
I have had experience with lithium years ago in the past that was horrible because of side effects at a higher level. I have hope that it will help though.
I would appreciate anyones thoughts and ideas about this.
Thanks

I took a low level of lithium a long time ago and had no problem with side effects. Maybe since you will be taking a lower dose you won't have any problems either.
Thanks for this!

Lithium is often used in low doses to treat depression that didnt respond to other medications. Lower doses, so you should experience the hellish side effects you did with a larger one.

I don't have any personal experience with Lithium, although I've been strongly considering it lately. I've seen it used a lot to augment another anti-depressants with treatment resistance depression. A lot of people seem to have good results with it and like a previous poster said, it's pretty safe in lower doses.
Good luck. I hope this does the trick for you.

Thanks everyone for your input.

I hope if you decide to try it pinkflower, that it works for you.

So far the side affects aren't too bad, just peeing alot and thirst is the bigone.

I found a website last night that talked alot about lithiums effectiveness for depression so that was reassuring.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
