First time on this site....My question is my dr has recommended I try Providual (??) to help get me get active in life - to get me out of the house and my comfort zone.....I have no desire the leave my home, all I want is to sleep....Has anyone heard of this drug ?? i was told it is used for narcalepsy treatment ?? to give me energy and motivation...

Provigil is an amphetamine type stimulant that will wake you up and give you more energy. It is relatively safe to use, and not as addictive as other similar meds like dexedrine.

I was on provigil for...gosh, I forget how long, maybe a little under 2 years? It really helped and did not cause any signs of addiction. Yes, much safer than dexedrine.
