Hi-
Due to insurance I had to switch Pdocs.....I was back & forth on Pristiq 50 & Cymbalta 60mg. New pdocs was good w/ Cymbalta for my depression & neuro musclular disorder....then I brought up Wellbutrin. ![]() So I am on day 5 of it......I am waking up earlier by hours, and am restless. I took 2 doses on day 3, ![]() Has this med helped anyone? When does it kick in? WIll it make me the zombie I was on Cymbalta? Thanking you in advance.

I have been prescribed it but haven't started it yet.. I hope to hear it works for you. From what I read it's a milder ADcompared to others less side effects. If you do have some side effects they are few and go away. I have a couple personal friends on it neither had any side effects at all..!!! It's working wonders for them one of them whom I'm closer too this is her second time on it after a couple years off. I am sure you will receive less favourable replies just remember we are all different so will respond differently. Overall my opinion is compared to many side affects that one could have on a AD this one is likely to poise the fewest. Will be watching your progress keep us updated all the best to you!

I never did get the energy that's supposed to come from Wellbutrin. It does wonders for my depression, however.

Wellbutrin has helped my depression, motivation, and (slightly) energy. It can be stimulating, and if you took a double dose on accident I can see why you felt sped up. It's sometimes prescribed for ADHD because of it's stimulant like qualities. At least that's my pdoc's theory and why he prescribed it to me. It hasn't helped with my adhd symptoms more than like 10% though.

Welbutrin is my friend. I've had it in all forms, IR, SR, and XL and have settled on 150 XL.
It leveled off for me after just a few days.

Update-
I am almost on wellbutrin XL 150 for two weeks. The jittery feeling has stopped. I am still waking up early. I do not see a change in my depression, but did not think I would so early. If anyone increased to 300 mg, when was this done? Thanks.

I usually took 300 when I was on it. I think he increased it fairly quickly. I had no problems with the increase.
Are you taking it at night or in the morning? It can be activating for some people, so it's usually a morning med so it won't disrupt sleep so much. |

I was on it for a long time. I first started it in the hospital and I was jittery and bouncing off the walls, but it didn't last long. It's always a little stimulating but not like that.

I increased to 300 after about 3 weeks but I went down to 75 in the third week for a week due to breakthrough mania from finals week so I went straight from 75 to 300.
