Picked up my 600mg gabapentin at the pharmacy today and got a notice of policy change. Since it apparently is abused frequently, I can only pick it up 2 days before I run out now.

I never knew it was abused!

I never knew that either. Is that what the pharmacist said? That's so strange.

If it could be abused I wish I'd gotten the memo of how it actually makes anyone feel better. I only take it because I'm afraid to wean off again and it helps with the nerve pain in my feet.

Neither did I, that's bizarre! I used to take 1800 mg/day for fibromyalgia pain (only for 3-4 months - it didn't do a thing other than affect my balance as far as I could tell.)

I take it for anxiety and insomnia. Not sure if it truly helps

Ever since I heard a couple of people around the bus station asking where they could buy Seroquel, I decided that some people will take anything.

My favorite drug exchange heard downtown:

"Hey man - does this look like an oxy to you? I just paid $10 for it."
"No man - I think that's a Motrin."
"F***!"
Thanks for this!

Yes, where I live the 300mg tablets go for $6.00 each. I hate to say it, but I have fed myself more than once by selling it. No longer on them. They never did anything for me.

I wish I could just wipe my slate clean and try meds from scratch really. They always just add something when something comes up then play with things to try to make it work. Id like to just start with one med and go from there.

There are doctors out there willing to do just that. if you're comitted to tapering off your meds really slowly and being patient, it may be an option
