My pdoc just prescribed me Adderall to help with energy and motivation. I was just wondering what some people's experiences have been on Adderall. What should I expect on it?

It's great for ADD- increases focus, motivation and energy level. It helps with mood too.

One thing I'll note is I found the short acting version much more effective. I took Adderall XR and I felt awful with shortness of breath and constant fatigue.

I am on the short acting version. I took my first dose this morning and noticed that I wasn't as edgy or fidgety at my kids swim lessons this morning.

That's great that it's helped you so far. I've really had good luck with it, I hope you have a good experience.

Actually it was the only thing that pulled me out of a severe depression where I couldn't leave my bed last year. Short acting version. Larger dose in the AM with a half dose at noon
