Great! It is a good alternative to tegretol if all works out lab-wise OK.

I get immediate side effects though... Like, 20 minutes after taking the dosage, I get extremely drowsy, sort of drunk-like. I feel the need to put my head down, feels like everything in it is rotating. It's quite a feeling. Usually passes after about a half-hour. When I take my dose before bed, I don't care because it puts me to sleep anyway. But it isn't too lovely in regards to the daytime dose. Especially now that I am doing a therapy internship, it doesn't look too good if I'm giving therapy and suddenly become drugged up. I left a msg. for my pdoc today to talk about this with him... I didn't care that much when it was happening at work because I was sick of work anyway, so my Trileptal buzz was pretty much the highlight of my day, lol... but now that I have to spend two days per week interning at the hospital, I can't be having that reaction.

Am I seriously the only person here that takes Trileptal?
