I am a college student, and I very much want to transfer to different school and move away from home. My depression, anxiety, and panic, however, have been near to debilitating, and so leaving just yet seemed not to be feasible. I very, very much want to find a drug that will get me on an even keel so that I can be more independent, and possibly leave for college. Wellbutrin made me very, very anxious, more anxious than I usually am, which is saying a lot. I have also tried pristiq and prozac, but both have had terrible sexual side affects. I know that someone might say that I am not properly weighing what is most important - perhaps you'd say it is more important to be on a drug that helps with my disorders and deal with the sexual side affects. The problem is that the sexual side affects cause me terrible anxiety! They end up making me more worried than they are worth. Is there any medication that can treat my anxiety and not cause this to happen? I don't see how the only way to treat depression and anxiety is to deal with very, very bad side affects.
Any advice? |

Perhaps it's wise to speak with your psychiatrist, they may have solutions for your side effect concerns and still addressing your anxiety/depression.
