I know this sounds silly, I know it depends on the meds in question !
I was recently prescribed citalopram I couldn't take it because it made me aggressive, jumpy, even on 10mg. I then asked my doctor to put me back on tricyclics. I then decided to try taking 10mg of Citalopram in the mornings, then a lofepramine 70mg at night. I've done this for two days now and I feel great. I'm feeling some benefit from the SSRI but the tricyclic seems to stop the jumpiness and helps me sleep. Is this okay or is it dangerous ? I wouldn't normally have thought of doing this but after reading some of the posts here I am surprised at how many different meds are used together. Psci-psci ? please !? anyone ? ![]() |

Welcome to PC.........hope you will find the support you are looking for here. I think you will find everyone every helpful and caring here. What time zone are you in? It is 4:30am where I'm at so not alot of people on but I saw you question and wanted to let you know that I too take a combination of meds.
90mg Cymbalta 75mg Amytriptline 2mg Xanax 20mg Ambien in addition to my meds for bp and heart and bladder disease........you will find there are alot of people on here who do best on a combination of drugs. For some the drugs don't help without therapy too. So I guess what I'm saying is whatever works best for you and your doctor is what I would go with. Take care, Lori |
