Hey, this may be a stupid question, but is it generally ok to take aspirin or ibuprofen pills for headaches while on Prozac (fluoxetine hydrochloride)? I'm on a low dose (10mg)... about ten days in. I've googled it and can't find any information either way...

Oh I think I answered my own question..

"Antidepressants such as Prozac could potentially cause stomach bleeding, especially when combined with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and ketoprofen."

I guess I'll wait and ask my doctor... But anyone tried doing this?

You must be getting headaches as a side effect from the Prozac, I assume? I got very bad headaches when I first started it last month, but they went away after the second week. I heard you're not supposed to take those either, but I took Exedrin anyway. I couldn't bear the headaches.

haha well I'm not sure... the headache I thought came from having a beer that night... But then last night was end of term at uni, so a friend and I went out drinking and dancing, and I must have had at least eight standard drinks with nothing more than the usual hangover... so maybe it was just a coincidence. I'm not planning any more big nights in a while tho!
