I currently take 300 mg of wellbutrin, 1 mg of risperidone, 20 mg of paroxetine.
There seems to be drug interactions with wellbutrin, paroxetine and risperidone. Wellbutrin and paroxetine can raise the blood levels of risperidone, which could lead to side effects, for which i have not had any. Risperidone is metabolized by the same liver enzyme that is inhibited by wellbutrin and paroxetine. My doctor originally prescribed me 3mg of risperidone, and i have lowered it, without my doctor knowing. I am a little concerned about the wellbutrin and the paroxetine increasing the levels of risperidone. Ive read on the internet and this website about other people taking the same medications i am, and even at higher doses. Has anybody else had interactions like this with there medications? Do i have anything to worry about?

I would definitely speak with your doctor about your concerns. Sometimes supposed 'interactions' that we see on Doctor Google are incorrect & are not to worry about.

I did speak to a pharmacist, and was told as long as i spread out when i take the medications they should be metabolized just fine.
I take the 20mg of paroxetine at 8AM, 150MG of wellbutrin at 8AM, another 150 of wellbutrin at 2PM, and i take the 1mg of risperidone at 10-11PM. That would be an 8-9 hour spread between last dose of wellbutin and when i take the risperidone. Any other thoughts or feedback are appreciated

I was on quite a cocktail of meds for several years. I had treatment resistant depression and after trying a whole bunch of meds, they finally just started adding them. When I googled my meds there were all sorts of warnings about the combos I was taking. I talked it over w pdoc, and was reassured and stayed on them for a couple of years. They didn't really help, but they don't seem to have harmed me either. I am slowly tapering off them. Down to 3!
