After this I doubled my paroxetine dosage. I used to take 20mg before lamotrigine and now I think it was too low and I was getting depressed when I wasn't hypomanic. I'm still more down than 'ok', but at least I'm not suicidal. I'm only worried because after doubling the dosage I started having wild dreams everynight AND last time this happened it was the beginning of hypomania (induced by paroxetine). Keeping an eye on it for now, hope I can get these two balanced really soon.

tl;dr: Lamotrigine was NOT making me depressed.

Did you see the doctor before doubling the paroxetine, or did you do that yourself? Those dreams don't sound good. Glad you're a little more stable.

From personal experience - don't go up to 60 or 80 mg of paroxetine. The weight gain (30 lbs.) and constant unsatisfied hunger kicked in for me at that stage.

I had to stop taking lamotrigine. It interacted with my Xanax too much (couldn't drive) and I need the Xanax to control my panic attacks and anxiety.

I doubled it myself. I got caught by the end of period at university and didn't have time to see my doctor. Not good, but it worked! I'm seeing him in couple of days and hope I don't get scolded...

I'm taking 20mg of paroxetine, which is far from high. I experienced hunger pains during adjustment phases, but once it settles I actually get less food cravings, especially sugar cravings. I'll keep that advice in mind though. Paroxetine messes up with my libido, so I'd rather add another antidepressant instead of raising it to high doses.
