I take one Naltrexone 50 MG tablet daily for my impulsivity, which doesn't seem to be helping lately. I am also diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I've been on Naltrexone since November of 2016, starting at the lowest dosage, and only about a month or two ago, increased to 50 MG. I would describe my impulsivity as aggression and irritability. My impulsivity has, or was, controlled up until February. Basically when things started getting messy in my relationship with my fiancé. Therefore it makes me question if it's my medication, my fiancé or both? I don't know what to do, besides wanting to be able to manage my impulsivity better. Any recommendations or suggestions?
Here is also a table of pharmacological class and the behaviors for which they are effective for impulsivity and impulse control disorder. Perhaps it could be for good use.

Your impulsiveness sounds almost more linked to aggression/irritability than presenting itself as impulsiveness. I completely understand. (though, do tell me if I am not on the right path)
I get irritable to the high heavens and therefore impulsively swear, yell or slam my fist down. It's this feeling within that makes me need to lash out, not consciously aware of my decision to string some curse words together until I have said it, or slammed my fist down and broken something. Mood stabilizers, according to an article on medscape.org , prove effective- lithium shows better results than the placebo and lamotrigine also effective. Clonidine, a blood pressure medication, is used off-label for impulsiveness.

I need to check my lamotrigine dosage, but so far it doesn't help me at all with this kind of impulsivity. It only keeps me from getting hypomaniac.
My two cents here: while mood affects it, I feel like my impulsivity doesn't have to do with it. I'll be impulsive either hypomaniac or depressed, but will react differently in each situation... or at least feel like I'm acting differently. I can pretty much say my mood swings and my impulsive reactions are two different things.

Lamotrigine has helped with me with impulsivity, along with other meds. I am on 400 mg, and I do admit to seeing some results compared to when I was on only 200-300 mg. Has your pdoc discussed AP's with you? Without the back up of an antipsychotic, lamotrigine doesn't help as much as it should, for me at least. I see in your signature that you were on Abilify in the past, but there are other AP's that you may find a lot more effective, although only a doctor can really steer you in the right direction. Just stating that a mood stabilizer plus AP seems to be the formula that works for me.
