id personally take lunesta. trazadone knocked me out, but i didnt get restful sleep. i just shut my eyes and then woke up 7 hours later, groggy and oddly nauseous. the z-hypnotics haven't always been great for me, but they were easier to tolerate and when i did sleep, the sleep was higher quality ((still not nearly as good as natural sleep, of course)).

Personally trazadone has worked best for me the only down fall is that I have had to raise the amount that I had to take. But I do seem to get a better deeper sleep with trazadone compared to lunesta. I haven't had an issue with the nausea or drowsiness unless I have taken too much and if so I just cut it back a little.

Sadly, neither trazadone nor Lunest worked for me.

Trazodone gave me really bad panic attacks. The tenazepam is a benzo and highly addictive but i sleep like a baby for 6 hours.

Nothing so far has worked for me. I have only gotten 4 or so hours of sleep per night for around 6 months (before this, needed 8 1/2). Finally quit trying, and go to work in the middle of the night to pass the time.

For extreme cases of insomnia some doctors will prescribe the old barbituates. Seconal or nembutal will put you to sleep.

Is this the space to reply in. I haven't been on this forum in years, glad it's still here cuz I just started on Trazadone because Dr. said it's good for depression and anxiety; I guess it's too soon to say if I think it's helped with depression or anxiety but I'm pretty sure that I sleep more soundly. I've never tried Lunesta so I can't comment on that but would really appreciate hearing from anyone else taking it for depression and or anxiety.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
