Yes! I take Lamictal with Luvox. It works wonderfully for me.
I just today had my med. increased. I haven't tried it yet, but it is so good. No weight gain. That's what I love about it.

I'm not sure it is giving me the stability I desire...

Lamictal 250
Klonipon 3mg
Wellbtrin 300

so I would say yes

I was on Lexapro, and Effexor XR. hate to say neither of them worked. While I was on the lexapro, it made me even more depressed. when i was on effexor it gave me nightmares. horrible ones. it actually made me want to kill myself. Medications work differently one everyone though. best of luck to you

Hi there hatewhoyou'vebecome!!!
Whew, that's a mouth full!!! Don't hate yourself. WE are all in this together. It's just a matter of getting the right dxs. for the right illness. I have been thru this thing for 30+ years
now and I'm just getting the screws in place!!! It's hard to do it with the wrong diagnosis, let alone the right one!!

I feel better than I have in those 30+ years. I'm not a hairball anymore. Whatever that is............that's how my kids discribed my mood. Little do they know????

I tried Wellbutrin, and that stuff made me psycho.............a Sybil in the making. Combative, irritable, and MEAN!!!
I said, hmmm so what's new? hahahahaha

Now I take the Luvox and the Lamictal and everydays a holiday. Ok, with the episodes, there's a few mechanical flaws to adjust, but on the whole, I'm better than I ever was!!

Good luck.
We are always here to listen.

I was on Effexor XR since before XR, that is how long I have been on it (>10 years). Well 3 years ago, Effexor XR wasn't doing it alone so my doc tried several mood stabilizers and landed on Lamictal. So my combination is what you have Lamictal and Effexor XR.

Jenniferever - I am currently on 300 mg effexor XR (just increased) and 100 Lamictal for about 1 month. So far so good I can't complain of many side effects and it seems to have me stable.

Hi I have been on Effexor XR since it came into being as regular Effexor. 3 years ago Effexor XR alone wasn't good enough and my Dr. and I played with various other mood stabilizers and finally landed on Lamictal.

About the same time, I was diagnosed by a sleep lab to have Severe Limb Disorder Movement (LDM). Basically I move so much in my sleep that I never get any rem sleep. My LDM is so bad that they actually clocked tiny seisures which leave me with a pounding headache.

So I slept 16 hours a day and was truely exhausted. I am on Mirapex now and it helps but only half way. Better than nothing.

I am monitoring this thread to see if there are any side effects from Lamictal and Effexor.

I am trying to figure out how to get rid of LDM, bad enough to be needing Effexor XR and Lamictal.

I forgot to add that the combination of Effexor XR and Lamictal keeps me from having a nervous break downs over literally spilled milk. BUT I don't laugh at any jokes. I get the joke, but I don't laugh anymore. I never could tell a joke, I can write a joke, but laughter is no longer in my life.

I fake laughs for my 7 year old daughter. That's about it.

It's rather strange.
