Hi all,
I've been having trouble the past few months with saying the wrong word for things, button for switch, cracker for chips, table for sink. it's random, and not all the time. I also can't seem to call my children by their names, i get them all mixed up. I was on lamictal 200mg, latuda 80mg, and buspirone 30mg 2xday. My p-doc seems convinced it's not med related, but my family doc thinks it is. Anyone else experienced this? |

I definitely think it can be med-related. In a million years I will never understand why doctors deny the obvious about med side-effects.

Sounds like me. A lot of us on meds have the same symptoms leading me to believe it's med related.

But then my grandmother talked like that and got her kids and grandkids names mixed all the time. The only med she ever took in her life was aspirin. She didn't even drink.

Well I'm on 200mg lamictal and 60mg Latuda. I don't substitute words for other words, but I do forget the names of simple things. I blame lamictal for that. I think I would be more worried if I had your problem. Your pdoc is an MD too; it seems like he would want to get to the bottom of it.

It could be med related. Could also be caused by hormonal changes due to oncoming menopause. It's a good idea to get checked out.
