Hi my name is Miguel Gomes
I was put on Lexapro in November of 2016 after sertraline was not dat good,
cus I just felt like I was a zombie
on may of this year i went cold turkey of Lexapro i did feel some side effects but not dat bad for like 1 mouth Then it almost killed me I started getting stomach pains couldn't eat tired intestinal problems crazy anxiety
because of my health, i at the time didn't know about the withdrawal from Lexapro and that you NEVER go cold turkey
I started it again on 7/08/2017 but at 50 % of the dose i was on (20mg ) now I am at 10 at I think is too much cus I feel like a zombie again and I am starting to think that my stomach problems and intestinal ones are from a parasite infection cus I had those problems before stopping

but the problem is that my family just got scared. cus I lost 8 kg in 1 mouth and I was like almost dying I was yellow had no strength, and I was a very strong person. I went to gym a lot I was 85 kg

but I feel that Lexapro and antidepressants are not the choices for me
cus my depression is caused by not having work and being at home a lot cus the area where I live is very rural a lot of old people while I am 18
and I feel that the antidepressants are making things worse, cus i just hate taking them
i am going to the doctors to see if we can find what is happening on my stomach and intestinal since i am pooping yellow for over 2 months ...

but I am afraid my mother gonna force me to take them
but i don't wona cus i feel that they are making things worse

I wona withdraw very slow now

hope I am not forced
to take this crap
I know they helped when I was going crazy cuz i tried to kill a bully in my school but my mother found the dagger on my bag at the time
I was kinda going psychotic but the doctors stopped it before it was 2 late

now I just feel I need to get a job that I am having trouble finding it
and I just need to leave the house more

well i just went true my medical records i was put on Sertraline 50 mg on 5/10/15
and took Trazodona, 150 mg then i stopped dont rember and continued on sertraline
Mexazolam, 1 mg 1/12/15
on 6/6/16
i went to 100 mg Sertraline

then 03-10-2016 i changed to Escitalopram, 20 mg and Xanax 0.5
and took it until i stopped on 28/5/2017 by my own bad mistake I did a super fast tampering of 20 15 10 5 0 in 1 mouth ^^

and i whent back on it on 7/08/2017 owe my one whit out saying to the doctor but i am now at 10 mg and i feel its 2 mutch

Ty for reading the long testament
give me your opinions
and sorry about the grammar i am not dat good on righting English but i can speak it well ^^

Hi Miguel, Welcome to PC. I'm glad you're seeing a doctor. Just about everyone hates taking medication, you know? I understand that. Sometimes we need medication, though, maybe even for a few months.

I would definitely see an MD as soon as possible. Your physical symptoms could be the sign of an underlying condition that is being made worse by the meds. I wouldn't stop taking them though until you see an MD.

My daughter was on Lexapro at one point. When her pdoc took her off of them she went from 10 to 5 for two weeks and then 2.5 for two weeks. She had previously been on 20 mg, but he had taken her slowly down to 10 for a few months before completely taking her off them.

It's never a good idea to go cold turkey on meds. It can make you even worse. If you absolutely have to do it very gradually.
